Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 6, 2026

Artiom Apps ("we," "us," or "our") operates the StencilX mobile application and website at stencilx.com (collectively, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we process personal information when you use the Services, how we share it, and what rights you may have under applicable law.

1. Our Approach to Privacy

StencilX is designed with privacy in mind. We follow a data minimization approach and process only the information that is reasonably necessary to provide, secure, and improve the Services. We do not require user accounts or login to use the core features of the App, and we do not use personal information to build advertising profiles about our users.

2. Information We Process

2.1 Information You Provide

If you contact us for support at [email protected], we receive the information you choose to include in your message, such as your email address and the contents of your correspondence. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry, troubleshoot issues, and maintain support records where reasonably necessary.

2.2 Images, Prompts, and Generated Content

When you use AI-powered features such as Text to Stencil, Image to Stencil, Stencil Enhancer, Stencil Try On, or Edit, the content you submit (for example, images and text prompts) is sent through our API infrastructure to third-party service providers that help us process your request. Verda (DataCrunch) is used for stencil generation, and Fireworks AI is used for content moderation and prompt-related processing.

  • We do not intentionally or persistently store uploaded images or text prompts on our own servers. They are transmitted for real-time processing and, except for transient processing, short-lived technical caching, or limited security and operational logging where strictly necessary, are not retained by us after processing is complete.
  • We do not keep copies of uploaded images or text prompts for building user profiles or training our own models.
  • Our third-party AI providers process submitted content subject to their policies and our contractual arrangements. We configure these services to minimize retention where available and do not permit them to use your submitted images or prompts to train their models for our Services.
  • Generated stencil outputs are returned to the App and stored only on your device unless you choose to export, share, or back them up using your own device or cloud settings.
  • On-device features such as Manual Stencil process images entirely on your device using CoreML. No image data leaves your device when you use that feature.

We do not use uploaded images for facial recognition, biometric identification, or creating biometric templates.

2.3 Purchase Information

All purchases, including subscriptions and credit packages, are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment card details or billing information. We receive limited transaction-related information from Apple, such as purchase status and product identifiers, to validate purchases, restore entitlements, and provide credits or subscription access within the App.

2.4 Automatically Processed Information

We do not use advertising SDKs or behavioral analytics SDKs in the App, and we do not use device identifiers for targeted advertising or profiling. However, when you use the Services, our infrastructure providers may process limited technical information such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, and request metadata for content delivery, security, abuse prevention, and service reliability.

Apple may provide us with aggregated or de-identified app performance, subscription, or crash information through App Store Connect or related Apple services, depending on Apple's systems and user settings. That information is governed by Apple's own terms and privacy practices. We do not track you across third-party apps or websites.

If you enable iCloud on your Apple devices, certain app data such as credit balances or entitlement-related values may sync across your devices using Apple's iCloud Key-Value Store. This syncing is handled by Apple and depends on your Apple ID and iCloud settings.

2.5 Technical and Security Data

When you access the Services, our infrastructure providers, including Cloudflare and our hosting provider, may process technical and security-related data such as IP address, user agent, request metadata, timestamps, and similar server-side information for the purposes of routing traffic, delivering content, rate limiting, detecting abuse, protecting against fraud, and mitigating DDoS or other malicious activity. We do not use this information for advertising or cross-context behavioral profiling.

Infrastructure and security logs are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for security, service reliability, legal compliance, and incident investigation, and are then deleted, rotated, or anonymized according to provider settings and internal needs.

2.6 Information We Generally Do Not Request

As part of the normal use of the App, we generally do not require you to provide the following information directly to us:

  • Account registration details such as username and password
  • Payment card or billing information
  • Precise GPS location data
  • IDFA or similar advertising identifiers for targeted advertising
  • Behavioral analytics data collected through third-party analytics SDKs

We also do not set our own non-essential website cookies. Our website and infrastructure providers may set strictly necessary security or load-balancing cookies, such as Cloudflare cookies, to protect and operate the Services.

3. How We Use Information

We use the limited information described above for the following purposes:

  • Provide the Services: receive your requests, transmit them to relevant processing providers, and return generated results to you
  • Customer support: respond to support requests, troubleshoot issues, and communicate with you when you contact us
  • Purchases and entitlements: validate Apple transaction information, restore purchases, and grant subscriptions or credits
  • Security and abuse prevention: authenticate API requests, protect our infrastructure, prevent unauthorized use, and investigate suspicious or harmful activity
  • Legal compliance: comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share limited information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: with vendors and subprocessors that help us provide, secure, and operate the Services, such as AI inference, moderation, hosting, and CDN/security providers
  • Apple: in connection with App Store purchases, subscription management, entitlement restoration, iCloud syncing, and Apple's platform services
  • Legal and safety reasons: where disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property, users, or the public
  • Business transactions: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal protections

5. Service Providers and Sub-Processors

We use a limited number of third-party service providers to operate StencilX. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to us and subject to their applicable terms, privacy documentation, and, where applicable, contractual safeguards.

Provider Purpose Data Potentially Processed Privacy Documentation
Verda (DataCrunch) AI inference for stencil generation Images, prompts, and request-related metadata needed to generate results Privacy Policy · Trust Center
Fireworks AI Content moderation and prompt-related processing Images, prompts, and limited request-related metadata needed to process requests Privacy Policy · Trust Center
Cloudflare CDN, WAF, DNS, and DDoS protection IP address, user agent, request metadata, and strictly necessary security/load-balancing cookies Privacy Policy · Cookie Policy

We do not use advertising networks, tracking pixels, or behavioral analytics platforms in connection with the App.

6. Data Retention

We aim to keep retention as limited as reasonably possible.

  • Uploaded images and prompts: we do not intentionally or persistently store this content on our own servers after processing is complete, except for transient processing, short-lived technical caching, or limited security and operational logging where strictly necessary
  • Generated stencil outputs: stored on your device unless you choose to export, share, or back them up
  • Support correspondence: retained for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, follow up on the issue, maintain basic support records, resolve disputes, or comply with legal obligations, after which it is deleted or minimized
  • Purchase and entitlement data: core transaction records are maintained by Apple; we may retain limited entitlement-related information as needed to provide and restore access
  • Security and infrastructure logs: retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for abuse prevention, incident response, troubleshooting, reliability, and legal compliance, and then deleted, rotated, or anonymized
  • Aggregated Apple reporting data: governed by Apple's own systems and retention practices

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including:

  • HTTPS/TLS encryption for data in transit
  • Authenticated API requests and access controls designed to prevent unauthorized use
  • DDoS protection, Web Application Firewall, and related infrastructure security measures
  • Service architecture intended to avoid persistent storage of user-submitted content on our own servers where not needed
  • On-device processing for Manual Stencil and similar offline features
  • Use of established infrastructure and AI providers with their own security controls and compliance documentation

No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to reduce risk and encourage users to keep their devices updated and use secure networks.

8. Children's Privacy

The Services are not intended for children under 13, or under any higher minimum age required by applicable law in the user's jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children in violation of applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at [email protected] and we will review the request and take appropriate action.

9. Your Privacy Rights

9.1 General Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing, and the right to withdraw consent where we rely on consent.

Because we do not maintain user accounts and generally keep limited personal information, some rights may be limited in practice by the nature of the Services and the information available to us. For example, if content has not been retained by us after processing, there may be little or nothing for us to access, correct, or delete beyond support correspondence or limited operational records.

To exercise applicable rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and may ask for reasonable information to verify your request where permitted.

9.2 EEA, UK, and Switzerland

For users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, Artiom Apps acts as the data controller for the personal information described in this Privacy Policy.

Our legal bases for processing generally include:

  • Performance of a contract: to provide the features and services you request, including processing submitted content and validating purchases or entitlements
  • Legitimate interests: to secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability of the Services, prevent abuse, and respond to support inquiries
  • Consent: where we specifically request it and applicable law requires consent for a particular activity
  • Legal obligation: where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law

We do not use personal information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on users.

You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9.3 California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under California law, including the right to know, access, correct, or delete certain personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising applicable privacy rights.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We do not intentionally request sensitive personal information. To the extent a user chooses to submit content that may contain sensitive personal information, we process that content only as reasonably necessary to provide the requested feature, secure the Services, and comply with law, and not for advertising or profiling.

10. International Transfers

Artiom Apps is based in Israel. Where applicable, transfers of personal information from the EEA to Israel may rely on the European Commission's adequacy framework for Israel. When the Services involve providers or infrastructure located in other countries, personal information may be transferred internationally as needed to operate the Services.

Where required by applicable law, we rely on appropriate transfer safeguards, such as contractual protections or other recognized transfer mechanisms, for transfers to recipients in countries that are not covered by an adequacy decision.

11. Third-Party Links

The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not operated by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy notices before providing information to them.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the Services, our data practices, service providers, or applicable law. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and post the revised version in the App or on our website.

If changes materially affect your rights or the way we process personal information, we will provide additional notice where required by applicable law.
